I was helping my father-in-law and wife go through her grandfather’s house this past Sunday (he’s decided to move into a VA home). He was a glassier, and among myriad other tools, we found this layout square. He likely used it as a guide for scoring glass before snapping to size. It will make a nice large layout square to replace my cheap, not so flat stamped aluminum framing square. I haven’t seen a wooden square of this size before. It’s definitely not a homemade tool, but this is the first one I’ve ever seen.
